Total Power Exchange is a play about human trafficking, sex slavery, and contemporary cross cultural feminist ideals.
Edith Freni’s work has been produced, developed and read at numerous theatrical institutions in New York and nationally, including New York Theatre Workshop, LAByrinth Theatre Company, The Williamstown Theatre Festival, Ensemble Studio Theater, PS 122, Theatre Row, Center Stage New York, The Lark Theatre, The Producer’s Club, The Present Company Theatorium, The Tank, The Brick Theatre, The Kraine Theatre, Collective Unconscious, Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center, Manhattan Theatre Source, The Trilogy Annex Theatre, The Rita and Burton Goldberg Theater at NYU, and Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. Edith earned both her BFA and MFA in Playwriting from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts Department of Dramatic Writing, where she received a 2006 Rita and Burton Goldberg Playwriting Fellowship and the 2007 Harry Kondoleon Graduate Playwriting Award.
Victor Maog, a New York City-based stage director and educator, investigates one’s place in the world and collaborates with some of the nation’s most compelling artists. He’s collaborated at NYSF/Public Theater, Hartford Stage, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Ma-Yi Theatre Company, Lark Play Development Center, MCC Theater, New Dramatists, and directed/taught for NYU/Tisch School of the Arts, University of Pennsylvania, Fordham University, and others. He is the recipient of the prestigious National Endowment for the Arts/Theater Communications Group Career Development Award, Paula Altvater Fellowship at Cornerstone Theatre Company, and the Van Lier Directing Fellowship at Off Broadway’s Second Stage Theatre. In addition to his freelance directing career, Mr. Maog is currently the Director of Theatre for the 96-year old Perry-Mansfield, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, the oldest performing arts school in the country.
