PlayDates is Woodshed’s monthly reading series. The purpose of these “dates” is to expand our community of collaborators and bring new actors, writers, and directors into our extended family. These readings manifest in multiple ways, from the traditional model of performing new scripts on book to less defined interactions with unfamiliar artists and texts.

While we are a theater company and principally focus on plays, we are also interested in the variety of possibilities a reading format can encompass: from musicians bringing in songs to writers bringing in plays or excerpts of novels to choreographers sharing dance pieces. These readings are different from workshop readings of pieces we are developing, and serve to maintain the artistic vitality of the company through interactions with new artists in the wider theatrical community.

All readings are open to the public unless otherwise indicated.  If you wish to attend or submit your work, please contact Jocelyn at jkuritsky@woodshedcollective.com.
